Warring Kitties Make an Exchange

Hello again cat lovers!!! Do you ever get the feeling that your pet kitties are a tad smarter than the so-called “animal experts” give them credit for? Well I definitely had that feeling today!
You might remember my two cats, Pally and Izzie, from my last blog-post. Last time, big brassy Izzie had hemmed little Pally into a couple small corners of the house. Well, Pally is one “krafty kitty”, so it was only a matter of time before Izzie got his comeuppance. And what a comeuppance it was!
See, Izzie has “claimed” a lot of toys over the years, but his all-time favorite is a stuffed mousie named “Gilly McSqueak” (his name, not mine!). One day, while I was watching Izzie sleep on a nice, warm sunspot on the couch, I noticed a grey missile bolt through the living room in the blink of an eye.
It was Pally! He darted straight for Gilly McSqueak, and carried him right out from under Izzie’s nose. Boy was Izzie mad when he woke up. He roamed all over the house, meowing up a storm, but his little buddy Gilly was nowhere to be found!
The next day, when I went into Pally’s territory (the bathroom) for my morning powder, I stepped on about four different squeaky toys. I turned the light on, and there on the floor were all of the old toys Izzie had taken from Pally!
And when I went downstairs, there was Izzie, looking content, playing with Gilly McSqueak as though nothing had ever happened!!!
Had my kitties made a “prisoner exchange”? Will the peace last? Find out next time, cat-lovers!!!
